چکیده
Frey & Smith 2003: Polar Research 22(2), 287-300 The sensitivity of Arctic climate is documented in the instrumental record of recent decades and is evident in the large temperature increases seen over Northern Hemisphere land areas from about 40° N to 70° N (Nicholls et al. 1996). In particular, sharp temperature increases from 1966–1995 are found in Eurasia and northwest North America, with pronounced warming during winter and spring (Serreze et al. 2000). Similarly, Fallot et al. (1997) fi nd signifi cant positive trends in winter temperatures across much of the former Soviet Union (FSU) since the early 1950s or mid1960s. More recently (1979–1997), winter temperatures have warmed at an exceptionally high rate of 1 °C/decade in the Eurasian Arctic, which is contrasted by winter cooling (–1 °C/decade) in the North American Arctic (Rigor et al. 2000). Although Serreze et al. (2000) show relatively large winter temperature increases over widespread areas in Eurasia and western North AmerRecent temperature and precipitation increases in West Siberia and their association with the Arctic Oscillation

The Effects of North Atlantic Oscillation on the atmospheric middle level Anomaly and precipitation of Iran.Case study: west of Iran.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the North Atlantic Oscillation on the middle levels of Atmosphere and precipitation changes in the West of country. To do this, first monthly rainfall data of 17 synoptic stations of the West Country in period of 30 years from 1984 to 2014 of country were collected from Meteorological Organization. As well as North Atlantic Oscillation...
متن کاملThe influence of Atlantic-Eurasian teleconnection patterns on temperature regimes in South Caspian Sea coastal areas: a study of Golestan Province, North Iran
The main objective of this study was to reveal the impact of nine climate indices on temperature changes and climate oscillations in Golestan Province along the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. Climate indices data from across the Atlantic-Eurasian sector were collected from the NCEP/NCAR, the Climate Prediction Centre (CPC) and the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) over a period of 40 years (1971...

Global changes in extremes of the climatic variables that have been observed in recent decades can only be accounted anthropogenic, as well as natural changes. Factors are considered, and under enhanced greenhouse gas forcing the frequency of some of these extreme events is likely to change (IPCC, 2007 Alexander et al., 2007). Folland et al. (2001) showed that in some regions both temperature a...
متن کاملEffects of precipitation and temperature on crop production variability in northeast Iran.
Climate variability adversely impacts crop production and imposes a major constraint on farming planning, mostly under rainfed conditions, across the world. Considering the recent advances in climate science, many studies are trying to provide a reliable basis for climate, and subsequently agricultural production, forecasts. The El Niño-Southern Oscillation phenomenon (ENSO) is one of the princ...
